Nokia is holding an event in Athens a week today. Nothing is known about the event other than being held on the 17th May at 8pm in Athens.
What we expect to hear is that Nokia will unveil or provide more details on Windows Phone smartphones.
Earlier this year, Nokia announced that it will be starting to use the Windows Phone OS later this year. This makes a dramatic change from the usual Symbian OS devices that we normally see Nokia produce. The reason for this is that Nokia is losing market share quite rapidly and needs to make changes to keep up with the likes of Apple and Google.
It isn’t known for sure if Nokia will introduce their first WP7 device as it was expected more towards the end of this year, but we think Windows Phone will be part of the announcement.
