Back in April this year we heard that Symbian would be rolling out its latest version of the operating system for some Nokia smartphones. The first batch of smartphones are now beginning to receive the update. The devices Symbian Anna is rolling out to include the Nokia N8, C7, E7 and the C6-01.
The Symbian Anna update brings a new QWERTY keyboard to the device which allows it to be used in portrait mode as well as the original landscape. New icons have also been added to Anna which gives the user interface a fresher look. Also, other various applications have also received an update to bring them more current with the look and feel of the new operating system.
As well as many UI enhancements, Symbian Anna also has an array of bug fixes found within which hopefully fix some of the niggles seen in the ^3 version.
To get Anna you need to check for updates on your compatible device and if ready, you’ll be able to download it OTA which takes about 15 to 30 minutes from start to finish.
