NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang has announced that the Tegra 3 SOC is almost ready and that work has already started on the Tegra 4 SOC.
It is now expected that NVIDIA will release a new Tegra chip each year. The main concern though is that the Tegra 2 isn’t yet really in use as much as we’d like to see it.
We have seen plenty of tablets saying they want to use the Tegra 2 although they generally haven’t launched just yet.
Hopefully by Christmas we’ll see the likes of the Notion Ink Adam that was rumoured earlier this year to arrive. If this happens and the results impress, we’ll gladly welcome Tegra 3 and 4 in tablet devices.
