Apple launched OS X Lion last week to the world and we now see that they have begun seeding 10.7.2 to developers. The changes that 10.7.2 brings to OS X Lion is support for iCloud. Until now, only iOS developers have had access to iCloud on the iPad, iPod touch and the iPhone. With the release of this new Beta 5 of Lion, it gives developers the opportunity to test iCloud between mobile and desktop devices.
The screenshot you see above shows how an iCloud account is added on a Mac. You basically add it to the same location as you would a mailbox.
It is expected that when iOS 5 is released publicly that Apple will also push out OS X Lion 10.7.2 to the public in an update. In regards to 10.7.1, we expect that Apple will push this out sometime between now and the iOS 5/OS X Lion 10.7.2 launch and the 10.7.1 update will contain bug fixes for the new version of the OS.
Expect to see 10.7.1 in the next couple of weeks and 10.7.2 with iCloud support shortly after that.
