Crayola is launching a new pen for the iPad. The pen is called the Crayola iMarker and it works along side the ColorStudio HD app.

AngryBirds for PSP Launches

Today will see the launch of Angry Birds for the Sony PSP. The game is a port of the classic iPhone and Android game that has had a tremendous sales record since it launched. The game has sold in excess of 50 million from what reports indicate.

As for how close the game is to the iPhone version, on the PSP you get just 63 levels which is way off the 360+ that are currently enjoyed on the iPhone. We’re not sure at this point in time if Rovio plan to provide updates to the PSP version, or if the handheld console users will be stuck at the 63 levels. [Read more…]

HP PalmPad Release Date Could Be Announced February 9

HP has sent out an invite to a press event that will be specifically for webOS and will be held on February 9.

There’s no specifics on what the event is about, other than webOS, so this could mean we hear more about where webOS is going, but more importantly we might get to hear the HP PalmPad release date mentioned.

The PalmPad from HP is just one of the many devices we expect to see launched this year, and if Palm manage to get it out sooner rather than later, it could become a competitor to the likes of the Samung Galaxy Tab and Apple iPad 2 (that is launching soon). [Read more…]

What you are looking at here is an “official” device from Commodore. It is called The New Commodore 64 and is a retro looking C64 with new insides.

Nexus S Overclock Sees 1.2GHz Speeds

Members of the XDA Developers forum have managed to overclock the Google Nexus S up to speeds of 1.2GHz.

The factory rating of the Hummingbird chip that it uses is 1GHz, so the 200MHz increase is very welcomed for anybody wanting to speed up their new Nexus S smartphone. [Read more…]

Windows Phone 7 Facial Recognition Coming Soon

A Windows Phone 7 developer called Vangos Pterneas has created a facial recognition system for WP7 based devices.

The new system uses the Facelight libraries that are open source.

Using Facelight is a piece of cake. You only need two XAML image controls placed in the same position. The upper one (named ImgResult) will contain a red ellipse specifying the recognized face and the other one (named ImgOverlay) will contain the original bitmap source.

Lexar 128GB SDXC Announced

Lexar has announced a couple of new Class 10 SDXC memory cards. Each card runs at up to a 133x speed and the smaller has a 64GB capacity while the larger can store a huge 128GB of data on its small footprint.

Although the cards can cram a lot of data on them, this luxury comes at a price as the larger of the two costs $700 while the smaller costs $400. [Read more…]

Opera Tablet Optimized Browser Teased on Video

Opera has posted a very brief video showing off the tablet optimized version of the Opera Browser for Android tablets.

Android Honeycomb Will Require Dual-Core Processor

Rumors are hinting that Android 2.4 (AKA Honeycomb), will require a dual-core processor to function. As well as needing a dual-core processor, we also hear that a resolution of at least 1280 x 720 pixels will be needed.

One dual-core processor that could be used by manufacturers is the NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip that is beginning to be used in tablets at the moment. [Read more…]

Vizio 21:9 Cinema HDTV Has 2560 x 1080 Resolution

Vizio will be launching a new 21:9 Cinema HDTV at CES this year. The new TV has an LED based screen that is capable of showing 2560 x 1080 pixels. This is in a very wide 21:9 aspect ratio.

Vizio Tablet and Phone Details Revealed

Earlier today we mentioned that a Vizio tablet and phone were spotted. Just a few hours ago, the details were not available, but now Vizio has formally announced the devices.

The Vizio Tablet has an 8 inch screen (as previously known) and uses capacitive touch. 3 speakers are built in to the tablet. The tablet also has a front facing video camera.

The phone has a 4 inch display that is also capacitive touch. On the back is a 5 megapixel camera as well as a front facing camera. [Read more…]
