Apple Buys Wi-Gear

Rumors are indicating that Apple [AAPL] has purchased a small Bluetooth wireless headphone designer in San Francisco called Wi-Gear.

Wi-Gear has made three generations of A2DP stereo headphones which they call iMuffs. These headphones use a Bluetooth 2.0 adapter to communicate with a music source on older devices. For those devices that are compatible, the adapter is not needed. [Read more…]

Dual Screen Kno Tablet Price Revealed as $899

The Kno Tablet price has been revealed as $899 for the dual screen version. This particular model has two 14.1 inch touchscreens that open up like a book and allow users to work across a dual screen setup.

iPad 2 and iPhone 5 Could Get New Touch Technology

Some new touch screen technology is being created that would allow devices such as the Apple iPhone to work when the user is wearing gloves or using a pen.

Google Instant Preview Launching Soon

Google [GOOG], is launching a new search feature that will give users instant previews, in the sidebar, of sites they are visiting. The service works by the searcher/user clicking on a small magnifying glass next to a search result. Once done, a small preview of the webpage loads up to the right side of the search result.

The new technology will be included on every single search result and when snapshots of the websites are requested, it takes just 1/10th of a second to load them up. [Read more…]

Opera Mobile 10.1 Beta Download for Android Now Ready

Opera Software has announced the new Opera Mobile 10.1 Beta for Android based smartphones. The new mini browser essentially gives a choice to users who use the Android platform.

The new 10.1 beta version is a free download and can be grabbed through the Android Market.

E Ink Holdings Inc. has has announced E Ink Triton that is essentially a color ePaper display.

Google [GOOG] has launched a new app for Windows Phone 7 called Google Search. The new app allows you to get quick access to Google search allowing you to hunt through the web, images, local, news and other various options.

BBC iPlayer To Roll Out to International Markets

BBC will be rolling out iPlayer to international markets sometime next year. The announcement was made by the Chief Executive of BBC Worldwide, John Smith.

“Not only will that mean international fans of, for example, Doctor Who can get their fix legitimately, but it has the potential of opening up a new revenue stream for the entire UK production industry.”

iOS 4.2 To Increase Performance on iPhone 3G

When iOS 4.2 gets released, it will increase the performance of the iPhone 3G. Ever since the launch of iOS 4.0 a few months back, iPhone 3G users have been left with a device that struggles to run as it did with 3.1.X. When iOS 4.1 was released, it some what fixed those problems although there are still a few speed issues here and there.

New Fallout Patch for New Vegas

A multitude of posts regarding Fallout: New Vegas and it’s bugs started cropping up as gamers got to grips with their new desert wasteland soon after release day. Though credit where credit’s due, Bethesda did their job and fixed various known issues via online updates across the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 days later.
