Facebook has announced that it will be launching the App Center. The App Center has been created as a place for people to find social apps in one location. The service is being made available on the web as well as on Android and iOS devices.
Angry Birds Hits One Billion Downloads
Rovio has announced a new milestone for the Angry Birds franchise. The series of games has now had a total of 1 billion cumulative downloads since launch in 2009. Half a billion of those downloads have been in the last six months alone.
Android 4.0 for the Galaxy Note Now Live
Samsung Galaxy Note users are now getting the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update. The update went live and was made available to Note users as an OTA package. The upgrade is 319MB in size and includes the new TouchWiz interface.

Apple has released a new update for Mac OS X. The new update brings the OS to version 10.7.4 and fixes a few bugs that have been lurking around the OS.
Evernote for iOS Gets an Update
A new update for Evernote on iOS devices has rolled out. The new version brings several new features which mostly revolve around inputting data on the device. iPhone and iPod touch users see the most amount of changes, particularly in the note editor.
iAd Developer Revenue Increased from 60 to 70 Percent
Apple [AAPL] has increased the percentage for the developer using iAds from 60 to 70 percent. The increase is an attempt to make the iAd service more popular than other options that are currently available.
The iAd network allows developers to embed code in to their apps so that banners (iAds) are displayed and when displayed a portion of revenue is given to that developer.
Details of the Xbox 720 “Leaked”
Some “leaked” information about the next gen Xbox were detailed today. Although we say leaked, they are also probably just a little bit made up as well, but either way, I’ll post about them so you have something to think about.
First the downside. We hear that the new Xbox 720 will have tighter DRM controls that will require an almost always-on internet connection so that the Xbox can call back to “authenticate” whatever is being used in the drive.
10 Million Samsung Galaxy SIII Pre-orders Rumoured
Although no release date has been provided yet, a rumour is hinting that over 10 million pre-orders for the new (and yet to be announced) Samsung Galaxy S III have been made.
iPhoto for iOS Sees 1 Million Downloads Since Launch
Apple now has 1 million unique users of its new iPhoto app for the iPad and iPhone. It took just 10 days to gain those users.
The number represents unique users and not the number of downloads which means it will have been downloaded a lot more than that due to people having multiple iOS devices.
Apple Responds to Question About the iPad Running Warm
The new iPad runs a little warmer than previous generation models. This has caused some concern for users who are saying that their own iPads are getting far too hot. Apple was contacted about this and has responded with the following:
“The new iPad delivers a stunning Retina display, A5X chip, support for 4G LTE plus 10 hours of battery life, all while operating well within our thermal specifications. If customers have any concerns they should contact AppleCare.”
New Samsung Galaxy SIII Leaked
The picture below shows what is believed to be the Samsung Galaxy S III. The device hasn’t been announced yet and we’ve seen other leaks before showing slightly different designs. However, this one looks to be more “official” and promising when compared to the rest.
