The Amazon Kindle Fire has got its first taste of regular Android thanks to CyanogenMod 7. The team have managed to install a regular version of Android on to the new tablet to give it a more Androidy feel.
Google Introduces the New Google Bar

Google is making another design tweak to many of its services. The small tweak gets rid of the black bar across the top of the page and puts it in a drop down found just below the Google logo as pictured below. The bar is now hidden and only made visible when rolling over the Google logo.

Google [GOOG] has added a new feature to Google Maps for Android devices. The new feature lets you navigate indoors around a building and is even capable of telling you what floor you are on.
The reason for the new feature is that when you navigate to a destination such as from your home to the airport, you are taken door to door. With the latest version of Maps (6.0) you can now see exactly where you need to go when you get to the door of the airport. Accuracy is available within several meters and the software can detect when you move floors.

The image below is of a new device which is believed to be called the HTC Ville. The new device claims to be one of (or the) thinnest smartphone measuring just 8mm thin. That beats the iPhone 4S which is 9.3mm thick and the Galaxy S II which is 8.49mm at its thinnest point.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus has an odd bug that causes the volume to go a little crazy on the device. This has made a number of people believe that it is a hardware fault with the rocker switch for volume.
