New Search Deal Signed by Microsoft and Twitter

It appears that Twitter results could be coming back to Bing. Twitter had been providing real time updates to Bing for the past couple of years and like Google, the contract had ended. It appears that Twitter and Microsoft are now signing (or have signed) a new contract so the search company can carry on providing real time results.

JPEGMini Shrinks Photo File Sizes down by 5 Times

JPEGMini is a new service that has launched that aims to make images a lot smaller in file size. The bonus part with the service is that the quality of the image remains the same. The image below shows the interface of the site that has just processed an image we posted earlier today on the site. Below you’ll notice that the original filesize was 55Kb (which was actually compressed with Smush.it originally) and then JPEGMini managed to squash it another 1.9 times making it just 28KB in size. The results are impressive.

Apple iPad 2 Sales Needed by Sydney Judge

You are probably aware that Apple and Samsung are currently in a legal battle which has caused Samsung to have to pull various devices off the shelves recently. Over in Australia Apple is attempting to stop sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. We now hear that a judge in Sydney has suggested that Apple might need to divulge its sales number for both the US and UK iPad 2.

Motorola Xoom Prices Dropped

It appears that Motorola is about to officially drop the price of the Motorola Xoom tablet. In the UK, Dixons has dropped the tablet from £500 down to £329 for the 32GB model and also has dropped the 32GB 3G version down from £580 to £400.
