We first mentioned the Puma phone back in February when it was on display at MWC in Barcelona.
The phone is a little unique and not only because it comes from a company who makes sports equipment, but in that it has a solar panel on the back allowing sunlight to charge the phone. Other features include a smallish 2.8 inch touchscreen. The Puma phone leans more towards those who enjoy sports.
We hear that the Puma phone is now available in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The phone it’s self is looks quite good. The battery on the Puma phone is good for about 350 hours of standby, 5 hours of talk and 24 hours of music. The 2.8 inch touchscreen has a resolution of 240×320 pixels and is QVGA. On the back a 3.2 megapixel camera can be found that has a 6x optical zoom.
Although not incredible specs, it’s certainly handy having built in solar panels and for those in to sports, it has a nice array of features geared towards various activities. A video of the Puma Phone can be found here.
Price wise, the Puma Phone will set you back just short of ‚¬400 unlocked although if you sign up for a contract it will be reduced by quite a bit, if not completely down to zero.
