A new Wifi version of the Galaxy S has been announced by Samsung. The new device is called the Galaxy S Wifi 4.2 and comes with a 4.2 inch screen that uses IPS TFT technology and has a WVGA resolution.
The device runs a single core 1GHz processor and runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. It comes with either 8GB or 16GB of storage which can be expanded further by the way of a microSD card. Capacity goes up to a maximum of 48GB if you max out the microSD card slot with a 32GB card. It has 512MB of RAM also.
A couple of cameras can be found on the Galaxy S Wifi 4.2 which includes a 2 megapixel one on the back with a VGA one on the front for wireless video calls.
Overall, quite an impressive Galaxy S device. Unfortunately there is no release date or pricing just yet although I’d estimate that we will probably see the new device within the next 4 – 8 weeks.
