The Samsung Galaxy S II has now arrived on the U.S. Cellular network. The company announced that it was coming a couple of weeks back and now it is available. Price wise, the S II costs $229.99 after a $100 mail in rebate.
One downside of the U.S. Cellular version of the Galaxy S II is that it comes with a lot of bloatware such as Zappos. We assume there is a way to remove all the junk so you can get a fresh version of Android rather than a slowed down and annoying version.
For those of you interested in the specs, it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread has a large 4.52 inch Super AMOLED Plus touch screen. The processor is 1.2 GHz. It has an 8 megapixel camera on the back that is accompanied by an LED flash. It has WiFi, 3G and a 2 megapixel front facing camera. 16GB of storage is built in to the device.
As you will be well aware, the Galaxy S II has been a huge hit for Samsung and it’s great seeing it move to more carriers.
