As of tomorrow, you’ll be able to get your hands on a Samsung Galaxy S 4G on the T-Mobile network in the US. The device is launching on February 23 with a price tag of $199. This price is for those who sign up for a contract and is the price after the rebate.
What makes the Galaxy S 4G different from the regular Galaxy S is that it functions on T-Mobiles 4G HSPA+ network. This means that download speeds can be as quick as 21MBps in perfect conditions.
The 4G part is the only real difference on the new Samsung Galaxy S. What it keeps from the original model is a 4 inch Super AMOLED screen and the 1GHz Hummingbird processor to keep things running smoothly.
On the back is the same 5 megapixel camera and generally, it’s the same device.
For those still unsure about the Galaxy S 4G, remember that Samsung also recently announced the Galaxy S 2 which will be landing sometime this year, so you might want to hang on a bit if you are not too interested in the extra bump in download speeds.
