The Samsung Galaxy S Pro was first spotted recently with a few leaks. At that point, no real specs were known about the device. However, the specs have now surfaced.
The Galaxy S Pro has a Samsung/Intrinsity ARM Cortex A8 CPU running at 1GHz. It is about half an inch shorter than the EVO 4G from Sprint [S] and about 3/8 of an inch more narrow. The Galaxy S Pro has a slide out QWERTY keyboard that has been described as being smooth.
It is believed that the resolution on the Galaxy S Pro is 480 x 800 pixels and uses the Super AMOLED built by Samsung. The exact screen size isn’t known although it is believed to be 4 inches.
The memory on the smartphone is 512MB of RAM and 8.2GB also was found which could be allocated to storage and internal storage.
Connectivity sees WiFi connecting at 802.11b/g/n. On the back is a 5 megapixel camera that has 1X optical zoom (ie, no optical zoom?) and is capable of capturing 720p video. A front facing VGA camera can also be found on the device.
The Samsung Galaxy S Pro is believed to run TouchWiz 3.0 and will run on Android 2.1 rather than 2.2 although that “might” change depending on when the Galaxy S Pro launches.
There are still a few unknowns about the phone but we expect more details will keep arriving.
