After several months of leaks and details about the Samsung Galaxy Tab, it has now been made official.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab will have a 7 inch screen and it will run Android 2.2 (Froyo). The 7 inch tablet is capable of making and receiving both voice and video calls and it has the ability to send text messages, picture messages and email of course.
By including all these features, it makes it in to a large phone which will be made available on both pay as you Go and contract.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab will be released in October although prices are not confirmed just yet.
The 7 inch screen has a WSVGA resolution and supports 1080p HD.
The iPad finally has a worthy competitor and one we expect will do well considering the Galaxy S smartphone has sold over 1 million units in the US.
