Samsung has announced three new smartphones today. These are the Samsung Wave 3, the Wave M and the Wave Y. Each device is powered by the Bada 2.0 operating system.
The Samsung Wave 3 (pictured above) uses a 4 inch Super AMOLED display. It has a full metal design and put in Samsungs words, it is designed for the “style-conscious consumer”. The construction is anodized aluminium. Features that Bada 2.0 brings to this device includes multi-tasking and seamless push notification. Wi-Fi Direct is also included on this device.
The next device to launch is the Samsung Wave M (pictured above). The Wave M uses ChatON and Social Hub to keep users connected. The device uses a 3.65 inch screen in a wide aspect and a HVGA resolution. The screen is covered in tempered glass and the body of the device is metallic. The ChatON service is designed to streamline message feeds.
The last of the trio to be announced is the Samsung Wave Y. This device is the smaller of the three with a 3.2 inch HVGA screen. This device is designed for those who want to be social and gives access to Social Hub and CharON. “Simple personalisation is enabled via the Live Panel, Lock Screen and Folder management, while Music Hub, a portable music manager, gives users a jukebox in their pocket.”
Expect to see more of these devices soon at IFA.
