Sanyo is launching a “Dual Camera” called the Sanyo VPC-PD2BK. From what we can figure out the dual camera means that the camera is capable of capturing both stills and video rather than just being restricted to video.
The camera is capable of capturing video in full HD at 1080p at 30 frames per second. Other features include a 10 megapixel sensor along with 3x optical zoom.
Software wise, the camera is compatible with social networks and allows direct uploading to sites such as Facebook, YouTube and Picasa.
The camera also has two microphones to capture audio in stereo.
“The new PD2BK delivers amazing 10MP photos and 1080 archive quality video with 3x optical zoom,” says Tom Van Voy, Vice President and General Manager of the Digital Solutions Division for SANYO North America. “Now users have both a convenient, ultra easy form factor and archive quality photos and videos that they will be proud to display on their HDTVs or share with friends and family from their computer.”
When the camera launches next month, it will have a price tag of $169.99.
