SDXC Memory cards were mentioned this year at CES. These new, higher capacity cards are capable of storing up to 2TB of data.
SDXH (SD Extended Capacity) cards should be launched later this year with the initial cards having a transfer rate of 104MBps although a roadmap has been planned which should see this increase to an impressive 300Mbps.
I don’t know about you, but I certainly find this very impressive as 2TB is a lot of data to hold in such a tiny space. Having this amount of storage in an SD card will also pave the way to even larger capacities in the future. Where will it stop? I doubt it will.
