Lego iPod Dock with Stormtrooper Security

Lego_iPod_DockLego rates as one of the coolest toys ever. The ability to quickly connect little bricks together based on anything you imagine is possible. The creator of this iPod dock clearly had some cool ideas while putting it together. Built from standard Lego bricks, it holds your iPod. Around the back of the device is a USB cable attached to an iPod dock connector which is fastened by glue in to a 4×2 Lego brick. Around the front of the dock a Stormtrooper and another Lego character guard the iPod to keep it save. On the side there appears to be a handle you wind which seems the guys are standing on something that moves although it’s not too clear.

Overall a cool little project which is made all from standard Lego.

Analogue GPS made of Lego

Lego Analogue GPS
The Lego contraption was built as an analogue GPS unit. It has a 1.6m roll inside which includes images. If it’s dark then LED lighting will switch on to give you a better picture and there is a plastic cover over the top so rain doesn’t damage the images. On the downside, it’s just a single route from someone’s home to school in case he gets lost. Still quite unique though and I must admit, quite creative.

Lego iPod Dock
If you do not want to fork out cash for an iPod dock then check out the Lego version. Most people will have lego kicking around their home and will be easy enough to make. instructables show you how it is done.

The good thing about a Lego iPod dock is that you can design it any way you want, change colours and basically do what ever you like.

Lego Salt and Pepper Shakers

Lego Thriller – Shot for Shot

If you are a fan of Michael Jacksons Thriller then you should have a good laugh at the Lego version which was created shot for shot using Lego men, plastic trees and various other Lego bricks. I have no clue how long it took to make, but considering the thriller “movie” is over 10 minutes long it must have taken weeks of work to get the shot for shot version out of Lego made.

Lego Computer running Kubuntu Linux

Lego PC
The Lego computer was made from an old Dell Dimension 2400 which was laying around Jeremy Duenas’ house. He decided to strip it down and build it back up in a case made of Lego. The Lego PC runs Kubuntu Linux (due to him not wanting the XP Pro overheating the plastic Lego bricks). The idea is excellent and very unique. I like how there is a bridge in there and a Lego man sitting in a control centre. Top marks for effort there!!

28 more images of the Lego PC can be found over at Jeremys Blog.

Lego Aircraft Carrier

Lego Aircraft Carrier

Huge Aircraft Carrier made of Lego

This Lego aircraft carrier is the largest Lego model I have seen. It is built with over 200000 individual bricks and was built by Malle Hawking. It weighs over 350 pounds and has working elevators, a hangar, radar dishes and even electrical lights. By far the best idea is the catapult which can be used to launch the Lego Jets. A few more pictures of this lego aircraft carrier beast can be found after the jump.
