This Super Fast Clock claims to be the fastest clock in the world. You might be thinking to yourself that clocks should all be the exact same speed… and this one is no different. What makes it the fastest is that it can track time to a millionth of a second. [Read more…]

Robotic Etch-A-Sketch Clock
This is a style of clock I have never seen before. This clock uses a laptop, circuit board and an Etch-A-Sketch hooked up to a couple of stepper motors. Each and every minute the etch-a-sketch is flipped upside down automatically, rotated right way up and then the current hour and minutes are redrawn on the screen with in about 20 seconds. At the minute mark this process is repeated.
Blackboard Wall Clock
Look back a few years to your school days and you will remember the good old blackboard (or chalkboard as it should be called these days). This new wall clock is built with a blackboard face which you can chalk on to. There is a small holder along the bottom of the clock which will hold the chalk, but you will need to get your own eraser for it.
The blackboard wall clock costs $80 and is available from Eco-Artware.

Rolling Clock
The rolling clock is just as unique as the cube clock we wrote about a couple of weeks back. This clock has a weight inside which causes the clock to roll around the desk with the time hitting the table. The time on the clock isn’t accurate either. No minutes can be found and it uses a simple way by saying, it’s almost 7pm etc…
The rolling clock is 9″ in diameter and costs $179 from gnr8.

Laser Target Alarm Clock
Unlike the fire alarm bell clock which is designed to scare the life out of you each morning, the Laser Target Alarm clock is designed to make your brain be a little more active and alert. To switch off the alarm it requires that you hit the bullseye with a laser gun. The alarm will keep sounding till you hit the target.

Test Pattern Clock
It seems like a good number of years have passed since the test pattern was used on TV. Due to advances in equipment such as digital signalling, better televisions and most TV channels broadcasting 24 hours the requirement for test pattern is just not there any more.
The test pattern clock is built to bring back the memories of late night TV. Luckily the annoying beeeep is not present in this clock. I have to admit that it looks fairly cool clock although I think they should have used the UK’s most popular test pattern which is Test Card F. Surely all you from the UK remember the young girl (Carole Hersee) playing noughts and crosses with a clown puppet. Here is a quick random fact… Carole Hersee is supposed to be in the Guinness book of Records as the person who has been on TV the most (estimated 70000 hours, or 8 years) although they wont put it in because no one can beat it :S
So go ahead and pick up one of these Test Pattern Clocks to bring back the memories.

Iomega ZIP Drive Desk Clock
The ZIP drive from Iomega was cool back in the days when flash drives were not around and floppy drives were the other best option. What happens now that they are not needed, or broken? You hack away at it to make an Iomega ZIP Drive Desk Clock. This clock pictured above is made from a recycled ZIP 100 drive and uses the original circuit board, drive head and motor armature. It stands 5.5 inches tall and is 4 inches wide. To keep it standing the clock sits on an acrylic stand.
There is just 1 of these in stock and it costs $34.99. Go grab it quickly!
