LG Optimus LTE Now Official

A new smartphone has been announced by LG. The LG Optimus LTE has a few new features which includes LTE connectivity to speed up downloads of data. As well as getting a connectivity boost, LG has also included a 4.5 inch IPS display which they call IPS True HD. The resolution of the screen is 1280 x 720 pixels and is claimed to be the first of its kind that will launch in South Korea.

HTC Ruby / Amaze Details Leaked

More details about the HTC Ruby have been leaked. The details reveal that the device will have a qHD screen with a resolution of 960×540 pixels. The screen will measure 4.3 inches. We also learn that it will use a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and have an 8 megapixel camera.

Smartphone and Tablet Combine in to TransPhone

Yesterday we saw the ASUS PadFone and today, we see the TransPhone from CMIT. The device follows the same principle as the PadFone in that the smartphone docks in the tablet to be charged and provide a larger screen when needed. When we say it follows the same principle, it was actually unveiled before the PadFone which seems to mean that ASUS isn’t the only one who has the idea of combining the two devices.

Firefox 4 Released – Doubles IE9 Downloads in First 24 Hours

Mozilla launched Firefox 4 yesterday and within the first 24 hours of launch, over 4.7 million downloads had been clocked. The number now stands at about 5.4 million.

When we compare this to the likes of Internet Explorer 9 that Microsoft launched last week, it actually doubles the amount that the company had recorded. Within the first 24 hours, IE9 was downloaded 2.35 million times which in fairness, isn’t a bad number at all considering how IE has been declining over the last few years. [Read more…]
