By using foil instead of glass it allows a certain amount of flexibility.

CTO and executive VP of LG Display, In Jae Chung said:

Ultra-Thin LG LEF TV On Display at CES

CrunchGear spotted an ultra-thin TV at CES called the LG LEF. Unfortunately nobody knew anything about it, not even the LG reps. The most they could offer was that it landed in Vegas straight out of Korea.

The TV measures about 1/4 of an inch in thickness making it very slim. The main functions of the TV are held in the block base that supports the TV with the screen and backlight being housed in glass alone which allows for the ultra-thin TV to be just that… ultra-thin. [Read more…]

LG RoboKing Robot Vacuum

LG-RoboKingLG have created a new robot vacuum cleaner called the LG RoboKing. The RoboKing is smaller than the previous model measuring just 90mm tall where as before the previous version was 130mm tall. This allows the vacuum to manoeuvre more easily under objects such as book cases and furniture.

As well as being shorter in height the vacuum has also got 13db quieter and now measures 50db when in use. The LG RoboKing has two cameras built in allowing it to more easily navigate around a room. Programming has also been improved it seems as the vacuum also works 30 percent quicker than previous models perhaps by cleaning a room more efficiently rather than randomly like before. LG eXpo Projector Phone Reviewed

att_lg_expo_1LG surprised us recently with details of a new phone called the LG eXpo that also came supplied with a detachable Pico projector. The LG eXpo is a Windows Mobile 6.5 device that has the S-Class interface overlayed on to it. This brings the 3D cube menu system to the WM device as well as new menus, new contacts and a new virtual QWERTY keyboard.

From the video (seen below), you’ll see the phone seems to function well and be quite responsive. However, the big unique feature is that you can attach a small pico projector to the eXpo that allows a larger image of what’s on the screen to be projected on to the wall. [Read more…]

LG eXpo with Detachable Pico Projector

att_lg_expo_1The LG eXpo has been spotted although no official press release has been launched just yet. The eXpo is a Windows Mobile 6.5 device that has perhaps one of the most unique features of a phone… a detachable Pico Projector courtesy of Texas Instruments.

When attached, the Pico Projector allows items displayed on the screen to be thrown on to a nearby wall. Having the Pico Projector detachable is a good move in my opinion as it will allow the phone to stay a decent size when the projector is not needed.

The phone looks like it will be launching on to AT&T’s network when launched. [Read more…]
