Sony are launching a new Digital Photo Frame and Printer combo that as far as I am aware, is the first of it’s kind. We normally see devices converging together in the mobile phone industry such as cameras being attached, GPS and motion sensors. Now it’s time for the Photo Frame to be paired up with something.
The Sony DPP-F700 has a 7 inch screen on the front that is attached to a small printer at the back. The screen supports a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and inside you’ll find 1GB of storage capacity.
The printer on the photo frame is capable of printing out photos at 4 x 6 inches in size. The photographic paper used has a coating that is resistant to fingerprint and water.
The new photo frame will be launched in November and will cost just short of about $300. For a full rundown of all the specs on the digital photo frame printer you can check out the Sony site.
