For those of you in the UK, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc will be launched in April this year. The new smartphone will be launched on the Three network although the exact date and pricing have not yet been revealed.
The Xperia Arc is an Android device running the latest version which is 2.3 AKA Gingerbread. It has a 4.2 inch screen and a 1GHz processor.
The 4.2 inch screen is a Reality Display and is powered by the Mobile Bravia Engine.
The camera on the back is capable of capturing video at 720p HD at a frame rate of 30 FPS. The camera is also capable of face tracking while capturing pictures which is a common function on Xperia smartphones. The camera is 8.1 megapixels. Another feature of this particular smartphone is how thin it is, it measures just 8.7mm.
Sony Ericsson seem to have got this particular Xperia smartphone just right. When launched, it will run the latest Android OS rather than an outdated version like previous releases have come pre-installed with. If your contract is due for renewal in April then it might be worth taking a look at this one.
