As well as the Xperia Play introduced by Sony Ericsson yesterday, the company has also revealed the Xperia Neo and Xperia Pro smartphones. Each of the new devices runs the Google Android operating system which from what the press release says, is the latest which means it’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The Xperia Neo, pictured above, is a touchscreen device that has a camera with an Exmor R sensor. This particular sensor has been designed for low light video capture. The screen measures 3.7 inches and can show 480 x 854 pixels. The processor running it is from Qualcomm and is clocked at 1GHz (ie, the Snapdragon).
The Xperia Pro, pictured just below, is very similar in terms of specs although the obvious change here is that it has a slide out QWERTY keyboard.
Release dates and prices are not known just yet, although we expect that each of the smartphones will be released on or around the same time as the Xperia Play which is rumored for a March launch.
