Lots of mobile phone news today… Next up is the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 that was just spotted live in the wild. The Sony Xperia X3 is an Android based phone that was first heard of a few months back.
Although the image is quite small and doesn’t really show that much details, it’s still good to see that the phone is actually getting nearer to production. It is also expected that both the X2 and X3 will be released at similar times as they run different operating systems.
The Xperia X3 will be powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor built by Qualcomm that should make it a snappy device and probably also good timing for Android 2.0 which was recently captured. Connectivity wise the Sony Xperia X3 will connect over HSDPA networks as well as Wi-Fi although at this point it is unknown if it will be 802.11n or more than likely a step down from what.
As can be expected on a device of this capacity, the X3 will have integrated GPS for making use of location based services and Maps, satnav etc….
The phone is expected to have a capacitive screen measuring 4 inches that can display a very good 852 x 480 pixels. Also included will be an 8 megapixel camera.
It looks set to be an impressive phone and if the current X3 specs are to be made official it no doubt will be one of the devices to compete with.
