Sony have created the smallest and lightest vein pattern recognition finger scanner in the form of a small USB device. The vein reader is called the Sony FVA-U1 and will be launched December 18 in Japan.
The unit weighs just 33g and measures 70 x 14.5 x 58mm in size.
The system is a new biometric device that was called Mofiria with in Sony and allows you to secure your laptop and other USB devices by only letting the correct and registered vein patterns through.
As of yet we don’t know if this device will leave Japan, but if it does, we’ll let you know.
