The Sony KDL46Z4500 is a 46″ LCD screen that runs in full HD at 1080p. An exclusive technology was built in to this TV that allows for 200Hz refreshes making it a world first when the TV was launched a few months back.

The features that catch my attention are the 200Hz speed and the ability to have deeper blacks thanks to local RGB dimming capabilities.
On the connectivity side of things the TV has four HDMI inputs which is rather good considering many of us now own several HD devices that could connect up to this screen. I’d rather have more then less of the HDMI inputs so there is no faffing around with cables each time you want to switch to another source.
An interesting feature of the KDL46Z500 is Voice Zoom. What this does is allow you to keep the background noise down while boosting the voices. This is a nice solution to the hate I have of loud explosions when your trying to watch a film late at night.
Overall, another impressive TV from Sony and well worth looking in to if you want that little bit extra in the way of features from a TV.
The Sony KDL46Z4500 is available from Empire Direct.
Sounds great, but it’s also over $2,770 USD, which ain’t cheap. It’s safe to say LCD’s have pretty much gone as far as they’re going to tech wise.
