Sony are launching the NV-U3C satnav over in Japan. It’s rather an odd move it seems as most cars (according to Akihabaranews) already have satnav. Either way, Sony must have a reason for tackling this market again after saying recently they were dropping the GPS line up.
The NV-U3C is a 3.5″ satnav running at a 4:3 aspect ratio on a QVGA touchscreen. Inside it has 4GB of memory and is compatible with PetaMap data which is a POI system.
No details on pricing have been given yet, but it wont be making it’s way to Europe or the US.
