The Sony Vaio P second generation model is getting ready for launch in the US. The Sony Style site in the US today put up a pre-order option on the laptop.
The cost of the Sony Vaio P is $899.99 (numbered VPC-P113KX) and will be launching in a few weeks time on or around June 25. The Vaio P laptop comes in several colours although the downside of the US model is that it lacks some higher end options. The model available for pre-order is the only one available that runs an Intel Atom Z530 processor clocked at 1.60GHz along with a 128GB SSD (rather than a larger 256GB).
Features on this model includes wireless that can connect up to 802.11b/g/n networks, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR as well as integrated mobile broadband provided by Verizon [VZ].
Although some of the details are a bit disappointing, it seems like the price isn’t too over the top compared to normal Sony pricing. Hopefully we’ll see a few more options emerge for the Vaio P second gen model in the next few weeks though.
