Spotify will be launching this week on the Windows Phone Mango platform. The relatively new version of the OS will be getting the “most optimised version for mobile yet” from what we understand.
The app will be free to download when ready later this week although it will require a premium Spotify account to make full use of it. Unlike other Spotify user interfaces that have black or dark colours, the Windows Phone Mango version is white and looks extremely crisp. It does all the usual and important things like letting you view your playlists and gives the ability to download music.
Engadget managed to get some hands-on time with it. Take a look at the bottom of this post for a quick demonstration of it running.
Also note that this version is for Windows Phone Mango devices only.
