Super Talent have announced a new range of Value SSDs that aim to bring solid state drives at value prices to users.
Four new SSD’s have been created which include 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities where speeds reached are around 90MB/s in terms of read speed and 30MB/s for write speeds.
The 8GB model starts at just $65 and although you’ll struggle to get a new operating system on there (such as Windows 7 or even Vista) it certainly would work for lesser requirements, or for speedy access when wanting to play games.
Adding $110 to that price taking it up to $175, you can then pick up the 64GB model which will of course run Windows 7 and other newer operating systems.
The prices are not too bad. The downside is that you don’t get the speeds that SSDs in a raid configuration can provide although you’re not having to pay high 3 digit or low 4 digit prices for the Value models.
The new drives are available from various places around the web.
