NDuR has created a portable filtration bottle that has been designed to filter out micro-organisms, toxins, viruses and bacteria from water. The specifications indicate that you can have clean drinking water wherever you are visiting in the world.
The bottle comes with a filter inside that all water travels through when leaving the bottle. The filter is good for about 100 gallons of water passing through it which for most users, should provide several years of usage.
The specifications claim that it clears 99.9999% of viruses, bacteria and e-coli along with 99.99% of toxins which includes Chromium 6, Chlorine, Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Aluminium and Copper as well as 99.9% of micro-organisms which includes Giardia and Cryptosporidium.
The bottle will not filter salt water. As for the effectiveness and safeness, perhaps boiling water where possible would be recommended but for emergencies where that might not be possible then this at least will provide cleaner water than what is available without the bottle.
