It appears that the Toshiba AT200 tablet will not be launching until January 2012. The new slim tablet was expected to launch sometime this year although confirmation on the official Facebook page says otherwise.
A question was asked on the German Facebook page for Toshiba about the availability of the device with an answer quickly coming back saying January 2012. It isn’t clear if this delay is just for the German version of the tablet or if this is a worldwide release date.
The AT200 tablet measures just 7.7mm thin. It runs a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, has a 10.1 inch screen and runs the Android Honeycomb operating system. We are not sure at the moment if the tablet will still ship with Honeycomb at launch or if Toshiba will manage to get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on there.
It’s a shame if the news is correct as the ultra thin tablet would have made a decent Christmas present for some.
