Some sales details have leaked about the number of Verizon iPhone and AT&T iPhones sold over a five day period. The numbers show that the Verizon version of the iPhone was outselling the AT&T model on all days around the time of launch. However, these numbers are said to still be below what Apple and Verizon had predicted.
The numbers were found by BGR and are as follows:
– Thursday: Verizon = 909, AT&T = 539
– Friday: Verizon = 916, AT&T = 680
– Saturday: Verizon = 660, AT&T = 471
– Sunday: Verizon = 796, AT&T = 701
– Monday: Verizon = 711, AT&T = 618
The numbers are taken from five Apple stores (combined data) with two of the stores being very prominent.
Pre-orders of the iPhone 4 were said to be around 550,000 mark. As well as finding out those details, we also hear that 30% switched from Android to iPhone and that 25% were previously BlackBerry owners. 14% of the buyers came from AT&T as iPhone owners.
