Windows Phone 7 Hits 10,000 Apps

The number of apps available in the Windows Marketplace has now hit the 10,000 mark. While writing this post, the actual number was 10,033.

Looking at the graph above, the increase has been a fairly stead climb. To see a real time version of the graph, check out the statistics page at Windows Phone App List.

Reaching 10,000 apps took Microsoft about four and a half months which is actually quicker than the Apple App Store and the Android Market although WP7 still lags far behind in the total number of apps. Early days though!

Although the graph looks relatively steady in its climb when looking at the whole picture, a quick look at the last 2 weeks shows more variation.
