The World Cup is starting June 11 and runs for a whole month. Comcast has announced that it will be showing the World Cup in 3D on on ESPN 3D. The first match will be the South Africa vs Mexico and will be followed by 25 other matches also in 3D.
As well as broadcasting the World Cup in 3D, Comcast are going to be showing all 64 World Cup matches live and On Demand. The matches will be shown on ESPN and Univision. The company also notes that the time zone for South Africa is GMT +2 which is why on-demand might be a benefit to some viewers.
